Green Light-Year is hiring!

Green Light-Year is a community-based grassroot environmental NGO. Through organizing experiential and interactive activities, we'd like to improve public environmental education and public awareness on sustainable lifestyle.

Job description

Lead English round table discussions on sustainable development related topics.

Conduct research under the leadership of project coordinators.

Participate as a speaker in sustainable projects/workshops.

Design and run projects, courses, cultural exchange events and other activities about Education for Sustainable Development.

Interpret and proofread documents/articles for social media team. 

Bonus: Lead volunteers in conducting an independent project.

Requirement

Working/studying in China, able to commit to 1+ year of online work or 6+ months of in-person work; each continuous interning period should not be less than 2 months; able to commit full/half days on weekends.

Educational background in environmental protection, education, project management, or linguistics.

Have project/team leadership experience.

English: Advanced; 

Chinese: Elementary-Intermediate

(shouldn't have a problem with daily communication).

绿色光年，全称上海市闵行区江川绿色光年环保服务中心，是一家致力于通过与社区、学校以及企业合作的方式，进行形式多样的环境公众教育，提倡低碳绿色可持续生活方式的公益组织。绿色光年倡导“看得见、摸得着、能体验、会传播”的可持续理念以及“无分享，不公益”的发展模式。

岗位职责

带领中国志愿者参加可持续发展教育主题英文学习小组

在项目负责人的带领下进行项目研究

在项目中充当讲师

协助开发可持续发展项目／课程／文化交流项目等

加分项：作为项目导师带领志愿者开发独立项目

职位要求

时间：在中国留学/工作，线上工作至少1年，线下至少6个月，每次连续志愿时间不少于2个月，周末可进行全天／半天服务

专业背景：环保／教育／项目管理／语言学

语言能力：

英文：高级；中文：初中级，能进行基本的沟通
